Miles and miles of trees and green was all that was visible to the eye. It was the hugest parks she had ever seen. Well, at least she thought it was the biggest park she'd ever seen. Namine couldn't remember anything about her past. She'd just wound up here one day out of no where. Everything on Earth seemed so unknown to her. It felt like she didn't belong. She didn't even know where she came from. She just woke up one day in the middle of the road with a bunch of cars honking their horns at her to move. She could remember tons of angry people that didn't like her as a human traffic blocker. There were a few people who tried to help her get up, but the majority didn't. Everyone here seemed so cruel.
Since then, a kind lady helped her get enrolled in school and found her an apartment that this thing called "the government" paid for. They still expected her to get a job, but she was putting that off for a while. She didn't want to take anything on until she got used to this place. One of the doctors at the local hospital diagnosed her with something called amnesia. They explained that it was basically just a loss of memory, and she must've hit her head on something. Either way, it would've been nice for her to have at least had parents or someone help her out. No one could find any background or records on her. The only thing she could remember was her name.
Taking a deep breath, Namine sighed. She often got way to into thinking. She picked up her sketchbook and continued to draw the scenery. Sketching was one of her major talents. No one really seemed to be outside today witch was surprising, because or how nice that weather was.
"I wonder where everyone is," she whispered to herself, starring up at the sun for a brief moment.
A twitch of the ear occurred when she heard a dog bark from not to far away. She turned to her left to see a boy throwing a stick. The dog would run and retrieve it every time. They must've just arrived. Maybe the opened of the new theater down the road was the result of the missing people. Whatever it was, it wasn't a good enough excuse to be skipping a bright and beautiful day for the indoors. She flipped the page in her sketchbook and began to draw.
As she sketched, she noticed something odd. The boy she drew was not the one in front of her galloping around with the huge animal that seemed unable to run without falling. In fact, her drawing sort of took on a life of it's own, adding even another face into the picture. In place of the boy, there was another boy; an older boy. His hair was blond and feather-like. It went into perfect spikes that swayed to the side. The face along with this boy had rough and firey red hair dressed all in black. She was clueless as to why, but she seemed to draw these figures many times. Sometimes they were even in places only existing in fairy tales.
It wasn't just these figures she drew. There were others. Another boy with brown and crazily spiked hair that resembled the blond one popped up often along with a young man with long hair like silver crystal shards. Last but not least, she was always drawing another girl. She sort of thought of her as her alter-ego. She had short, red hair and a feminine body structure. As soon as her pencil touches the paper, her art takes on a life of it's own.

It was eight in the morning and Roxas was seated in a diner. Not much of his past was known to him, which often led to a fit of tantrums that caused stares to stray towards him. Mood swings were a common thing in his life, and that was one of the only sure things he knew, other then his name was Roxas. People he met on the streets, when asking for directions, would stare at him weird, saying that his name was drawn from some manga or japanese game. After receiving directions he would watch kids play, watch the birds in mid-flight as they went to feed their families, this place was so magical. Sighing as he saw his burger placed before him he forked over what money he had. Money was an odd thing to carry, the flat surface, the way it could be ripped; as he first experienced when he put it into a soda machine, then changed his mind having a tug of war.
Picking his burger up he chewed on it thoughtfully, wanting to keep track of the taste as it hit his taste buds. Swallowing he felt satisfied for choosing the burger, but then he regretted it 15 minutes later when the barbeque sauce made his throat extra hot and practically drowning in heat. Reaching over for his drink he accidentally spilled it onto his lap and feeling all eyes trained on him, what else was he to do but glare at them. "You think this is funny? How can you sit there laughing when I'm drowning in an embarrassed manner? You...urgh...fine have it your way!" Roxas stormed out of the place, already paying the money, so as to not draw the law enforcement upon him.
Standing outside the establishment the fresh wind stirred the blond spikes of his hair, his blue ocean eyes flickering across the faces of those that passed. Taking a breath he rolled his neck, feeling that anger that was flustering and boiling begin to decrease until it was nothing more then a bad mood taken away by the wind. Sometimes he pondered on who he was. Sure he was Roxas, but, a empty part of him made him wonder if he had parents that were worried about him. Living in an apartment seemed fine, but, he longed for some company, just someone to talk to. Walking over to his boss, whom was the local poster manager of advertisement, he accepted the posters along with his skateboard. "Don't worry, and don't give me that look, I'll have them done by noon, promise."
Roxas jumped onto the board and skated along the streets. Heading towards the nearest wall he flipped the board and slapped the poster up onto it. Luckily these things had stickies, other wise he would be forced to take the hard route, taping it up and walking. The wind pushed behind him, the wheels spicing up along the cracks as they appeared. Holding onto the board he jumped into the street and barely had a few seconds before he would be likely to get hit, but it didn't happen. Heading into the park he heard the sounds of a dog barking, its tail wagging as it did its usual tricks. Noticing a blond haired girl he smiled, only to notice that a park bench was coming at him rather fast. Emitting a startled cry he jumped off his board, sailed over the bench, and landed on his face in the grass. "Someone get that number...of that kid?" He said weakly.

Namine's sketching began to get more in detail as her thoughts began to flow. She began to add in more characters to her drawings. They were other people in black cloaks wearing various hair styles. Her drawing began to look nothing like a typical scene in an American park. The surroundings in her drawing was even different now. He mind was lost in the art.
Hearing the quiet roaring sound of wheels on the ground, Namine decided to look up to see a young boy on a skateboard. He looked oddly familiar. She starred, watching him enter the park near the little boy and his dog. Taking a long look, she looked back at her drawing. He looked awfully familiar to one of the figures on the crowed page of her sketchbook. His blond hair matched it perfectly. She shook off her trail of thought knowing that it was just an odd coincidence.
She continued to stay, unable to look away from her odd amusement. She probably looked awkward, checking her page a few times and then looking back up at the boy once more. She closed her sketchbook and looked up just in time to see what looked like a little bit of a smile on his face. It was hard to tell from where she was sitting.
She followed the boy with her eyes, she noticed him heading straight for a park bench. Before she could think to yell "Watch Out!", he ditched his board. Namine flinched a little. That looked like it might of hurt. She heard a mumble of words, but didn't catch them.
Namine hesitated for a moment before getting up. Gently placing her sketchbook down next to her, she quickly ran toward the boy, picking up his board along the way to see if he was alright. When she got near him, she gently set his board upside down on the grass and knelled down. Studying him for a moment, she touched his shoulder lightly.
"Are you alright?" she asked in a concerned manor.

The bench had just seemed to pop out of thin air, though was the bench having a perch on the ground really to blame for his crash? The blond haired girl seemed to captivate most of his attention, when in all honesty his job was what had to count. Seriously, in his time here he never once failed to jump over that bench and still have his feet planted on his board.
Sighing he listened to the angelic voice, sort of like he was in a dream and her very presence was causing all the fogginess to drift aside. Lifting his head up, his blond spikes swayed in the greeting wind, his blue eyes were overwhelmed for such a close encounter. She was pretty, but he reminded himself to keep his thoughts to himself. Thinking her question over he slowly pushed himself up until he was sitting with one hand on his knee.
"I-I think so," he replied shakily, "I just didn't expect to fall off my board. It is like, you know how when you do something over and over, and one mistake sort of shakes things up? Well, I've been jumping over that bench for a while, and each time I successfully landed it on my way to my job, but, I missed the jump, well that is to say I made the jump...but my board didn't." Roxas laughed nervously, fearing that he was just sounding like a rambling idiot just here, right now.
The dog and owner were hardly paying attention to the two as they were in the grass, which was good, last thing he wanted was to draw attention to himself. Why did he feel a familiar feeling in the pit of his stomach, like the sense of familiarity was drawing from a dream come true.
"I know this is going to sound corny, but do you come here often?" Roxas asked. Running his other hand along the back of his neck he looked at her curiously. Would this scene have played differently if they were in the mall? Would the awkwardness still give him this feeling if he had crashed in the school hallways. He was 15 years old, while maintaining a job passing out posters, he was trying to maintain his grades in a bustling school.
When kids asked him where he was from, he couldn't answer. If he knew he would tell them, and he hoped they would just leave it at that. The necklace around his neck jingled as it swayed back and forth, he hadn't even noticed he was wearing it while talking to the girl.
Was that a sketchpad he saw? Shaking his head he smiled. She probably finds me weird, probably even thinks that this day could be better. There was a question that seemed to linger in his mind, one that he had every second that he woke up, and that was, who was he? Was his purpose in life to find that very place he grew up in, to find his parents, if so why did he stay here...in this city? I haven't even gone to the police, he mused, which either means I'm afraid they'll turn me down, or, the amnesia trick is getting too old.

Namine starred while the boy rambled on about the bench accident. Though she felt rude, she couldn't really concentrate on what he was saying. She was to absorbed in his big, bright blue eyes. It was if she'd seen them before. She felt like a crazy person thinking about, but then again, it wasn't like she actually knew anything about her past. Anything was possible. She felt stupid even thinking the way she was.
Glad to see he was okay, Namine used her hands to help her get off of the ground she was kneeling on. He took a pretty bad nose dive. From the way it looked to her, it'd be amazing if he didn't get bruises from it later on. As fragile as she was, she would've gotten pretty banged up. Of coarse, she never usually rode anything with wheels so this probably wouldn't happen to her.
She tuned in just in time to hear him ask her a question. She thought about it for a moment. She did come here twice a week, but she went other places alot more. Namine giggled quietly before speaking.
"Yeah, I do," she smiled at him. "Do you?"
She felt like her words were dry and way to predictable. Not getting the chance to talk to people too much, she felt a little weird and nervous. She got the nervous feeling alot lately. As corny as the line is, she had butterflies in her stomach every time she talked with someone. Her mind was almost blank as she waited for the boy to answer. She shook her head, because she didn't want to look as if she was starring to intently on him. Creeping out someone she just started talking to did not seem like a good plan. She held out a hand for him to take to help him up.

Roxas felt bad he had to not only ruin her perfect day, but to bother her when she was doing something important. It was just, she had distracted him with her angelic appearance, that, and the dogs barking and playfulness made him wonder if he had ever had a pet before in his other life. The other life being the one where he had complete understanding of his past, and knowing about what food he liked and what was his favorite color. Amnesia patients tended to be forthcoming, accepting anything they could, like a human trying to gain a concept or some word out of the dictionary.
The park was serene, almost like the ocean and the feeling of sand between his toes. Still, he couldn't recall being to the beach, let alone walking bare foot through it. So many questions, so little time, each moment spent breathing was a new space in time when it could be taken away. Well, no point in being morbid, he thought, not like I'm facing any danger lying in the grass now.
Looking over at the blond haired girl he smiled as he heard her answer. Perhaps I'll have to come by here more often, he thought with a slight smirk crossing his facial features. Though he quickly wiped it away as he was given a question in return. Pushing himself up some more he nodded his head. Then realizing it was a lie he laughed. "I wish, but no. You see my job sort of keeps me away from the parks.
Sure it is a quicker point of getting to the other part of the city, but, there are more obstacles in here and can cut into my time. I will openly admit to having stumbled into here to practice some skate moves." Roxas smiled and listened to the birds chirping above them. Those eyes of hers, it was like she could see right into him, and yet, they were innocent enough to just grace his mind's eye.
Reaching over he accepted her soft hand and slowly stood to his feet. Standing a little taller then her he didn't notice for a while; that his hand was still laced in her own. Soon as he let a heart beat pass, he quickly let go with an embarrassed laugh. It was times like these that he wished he had a friend nearby, so they could bail him out of such a mess. Now however, he had to figure out something to say, so it didn't seem like he intended for this to happen, which he didn't. Boy, if he kept thinking, he would probably betray himself.
"So, um, I'm Roxas," he said running a hand through his spiky blond hair. Go figure, he thought with a slight chuckle, first girl I meet who is nice and I make a fool of myself. Looking over at where his board lay he was reminded of the job that he had set out to do. No time to blame myself, he thought, simple mistake, it can be altered, and yet, I find myself unable to move from her very presence.
I just got to keep it all together, no goofy laughs or anything; have to hold my temper in check. I might as well face the fact, the park was a risky move...and...I'm sort of glad I did manage to blow my landing on that bench to begin with. Roxas smiled as he looked at her.

Helping pull the boy up to his feet, Namine was silent for a moment as she starred at him. She was still attempting to not scare him away from her, but she couldn't help some of her strange habits. He was pretty handsome though with his height and eyes. She wondered if maybe she had a boyfriend in her life before and what he might have been like. Hopefully he was strong and had a good heart. Knowing her look and weird personality, probably not. There were so many things she yearned to remember.
She always felt so alone. She got the strange vibe that she was never to close to anyone in her life. She wanted people in her life to care for the cared about hers. It felt odd to think about it. Since she got here, she hadn't managed to keep around one person. Everyone already had friends and people to talk to. She was an outsider. She wondered why this boy was kind enough to still be here talking to her. All these thoughts went through her head in a very short time span. They came at her all at once.
It was then that she noticed that their hands were still touching. She felt her cheeks heat up. Even though she couldn't see, she knew they must've gone a little pink. Although frozen in embarrassment, she managed to pull her hand away and fold them behind her back just when he had. She felt like such a fool.
Pull it together, Namine... she spoke to herself through her thoughts just as the boy gave her his name.
Roxas. She recognized it from somewhere, but it was vague. It must've just been a name she'd heard someone call someone else when passing on the street. It suited him though. She played the name over a few times while looking at his face so she wouldn't forget it. She was surprised he even gave her a name.
"My name is Namine..." she told with a smile in her soft voice.

There was definatley a connection here, he thought with an amused smile. For one, the way they held each other's hands, it was like a lover's dance, one that had been done many times before. The second thing that stood out was the fact that the two of them held eye contact, with the same shade of blue eyes. True she probably hadn't been to the beach before, call it a hunch, but, the depth of her eyes was like being surrounded by huge walls of water and standing on a circular platform while the water danced around them.
Though even while thinking of that, he was redirected in thoughts to a boy who could dance with the water, almost hand in hand, it was ridiculous to even think such fantasy thoughts. Shaking his head he listened to her breathing, watched her hands as they stole behind her back and probably would stray there. Trying to think of actions for his own hands, he placed them behind his head and breathed in the fresh air.
"That is a pretty name," Roxas said, "and one that isn't matched up with many, let me tell you. My name Roxas, no other kid in my class goes by that name. It is sort of a little wonder, a joy that goes through my mind to know I won't be answering when someone else does. I must've had some weird parents," Roxas joked.
Truth be told, the very faces of his parents were mere shadows of a fragmented mind, corrupt with nothing true to go by. When kids spoke about their parents in class, he would listen in, trying to take their information and put the puzzle into a clearer perspective. Who was he kidding though, he had thought, it would be all a lie to just go by what someone else said. After all, life was meant to be lived on one's very own perception.
Looking over at the vacant bench where she had sat, Roxas had an idea. "Did you want to sit down? I know standing out in the open can't be good, I mean, unless you want to, then of course I'm fine with it." Roxas wanted to just be normal, be a somebody, it just felt like being a nobody and away from all those feelings was...sort of sad. Motioning with his hand he gave her; what he hoped was a charming smile.
Most kids avoided him in school, and to meet someone as nice as Namine, it made all the difference in the world. The day was young, and if he were to get yelled at by the boss, all the better, for he had done something accomplishing today.

Namine watched as Roxas put his hands behind his head. She was strangely mesmerized by his movements. Again, she hoped she wasn't starring too much. She didn't want to look away either in fear of seeming rude. It seemed to be a loose-loose situation. She really needed to learn better social skills. She just wished she had someone, like a mother-figure, to teach them to her. Her only family now seemed to be the turtle she'd obtained from the pet store down the block from her apartment. She'd noticed the turtle tank being displayed in the window. She was attracted to the one she'd bought, because it was in a corner away from the others, unaccepted. It looked lonely and reminded her of herself. She just couldn't pass him up.
The look on Namine's face seemed dumb, like she was completely out of it. She was standing here with a tall, handsome boy who was still talking to her, and she was thinking about her pet turtle. She felt so lame. Plus, she felt like she wasn't talking as much as he was. She wished she could think of more words to say and more interesting ways to answer his questions. Her mind went blank. She was too focused on him that words didn't want to come out of her mouth. That was probably a good thing though. If she'd started talking more, there was a possibility she wouldn't be able to stop and then she'd end up looking really stupid.
When he complimented her name, she couldn't help but smile. She never got compliments and everyone usually made fun of her name. They thought it was weird, and she wondered why she couldn't have just been named Courtney or Melissa. His words falling the compliment made her laugh in a gentle tone. She made an attempt to come up with a response to him when he finished his joke, but nothing came up. She was way to nervous that all she could do was watch him.
Namine looked over at the bench when he'd asked if she wanted to sit down. She was amazed that he still wanted to talk with her. This was the longest she'd ever interacted with anyone who looked her age. She smiled at him sweetly. Her excitement was obvious.
"Sure," she said, still smiling.
His charming smile made Namine blush a little from her own thoughts. Handsome was almost an understatement with this boy. He had the face of a tough angel. It was then that she realized that there was a huge possibility that she was attracted to Roxas. It was a feeling she never remembered having.

Roxas led the way to the bench and kept his blue eyes trained on Namine. Where was she during his lonely days of fitting in during school? Where was she when no one stood up for him? I can't blame her for that absence, he thought mildly, wishes of the perfect girl just don't come out of the blue. Looking around at the trees and great expanse of ocean blue above, he felt at peace, immersed in a self calm that made every inch of his body want to sag down onto the bench and stay there forever.
Still, he didn't want to land on his butt; should he miss the bench that is. Namine was so perfect, and even though he just met her, it was like a piece of her was with him always, a beacon of shining hope. Shaking his head he slowly sat down on the bench and placed one hand behind the wooden frame supporting his back.
While looking at Namine, he pondered on his real life; the one shrouded in a thick fog and quite possibly a endless river with no shore in sight. The name Roxas was a good starting point, the name wasn't what any sane parent would name their child, but one who immersed themself in other media, rather then baby books. It was one puzzle that he could memorize, and he always came to the same conclusion, Roxas fitted him, as no other name, not even with a S would suit him.
I feel like a Roxas, he thought, so in all honesty, what is there to solve on the mystery of my name? There were none, so then his second concern came from where he was born. This city was nice and pleasant, but the bustling and loud noise wasn't his character, as he was sure Namine here seemed a bit...out of place. A nice young, fair haired girl like herself seemed like someone from a fairytale, or that of a quiet town. Far be it for him to go over the edge on identity, but, something about Namine stirred the very fathom of his memories.
"Namine, do you ever have the feeling of being alone? You know, like even though you are surrounded by people, for some odd reason you just can't find a way to fit in? I merely ask because, it is hard for me to mesh in with everything that is happening around me. I don't know how to communicate with people, and I'm often thrown off by a simple gesture. It is at times, quite frustrating, like a very fiber of my being is thrown out of loop. The funny thing is, after seeing a few episodes of the twilight zone, I figured I must be secretly taped."
Roxas sighed and looked again at Namine. She was a sure thing in his life, even though he didn't know where they would be after the two left.
Namine was breath taking, and just sitting here, he felt closer to her. In fact, he felt closer to her then most people he met; even those that he was working with, the boys who constantly bullied him. His heart skipped a beat while in her presence, and to be so close to her, made his mouth dry. These feelings stirred from within...what could they mean?

When they reached the bench, Namine sat down after Roxas did. Although she wanted to plant herself so close to him that they’d be bumping shoulders, she managed to distance herself. She may have felt close to him in the very short time she’d spoken with him, but she couldn’t let that show. She was strange enough and knowing her insane thoughts, the smallest thing might make him leave. She didn’t want that. She’d rather just stay here forever. She almost wished time could freeze.
As unsure of why he still remained here as she was, she liked to pretend that he was talking to her for the same reason she spoke with him. Being around him made her feel like a somebody. She hadn’t even noticed that the boy had taken his dog and left already. She barely knew anything about herself, but this boy, Roxas, felt like a dream she once had. Everything about him seemed so familiar. It was as if she’d heard his voice before in a hazy dream. She shook her head to get rid of her thoughts. She was thinking crazy again. Maybe her mind was just making things up to ease the longing of knowledge from her past.
When he spoke, Namine’s face perked up in concentration. Alone? That was the feeling she had no matter where she was. She didn’t have any friends, and she didn’t even know herself. Alone was the current definition of herself no matter how weird that may sound. He seemed so much like herself. She’d been many crowded places and still felt like those places were empty.
“Well, yes…” she spoke, moving her focus from his face to the strapped sandals on her feet. “I’m always alone. Sometimes I’ll have people come up to me and try to become friends with me, but I’ll just stare right though them with a blank smile. To me, it’s like they’re not even there. It’s nothing like talking to you for example.”
Namine sighed and looked back at him. She wanted to go on and on about the subject but held her tongue. She didn’t know how much to say without sounding like someone belonging in a physc-ward. Her thoughts weren’t excepted by most, and no matter how much she was beginning to think Roxas might be different, it couldn’t be certain yet. She then realized she’d just created a long pause and stumbled through her mind for more words.
“Sorry if I seem like an oddball,” she began to speak. “I’ve just been really out of it lately. A few months ago I was diagnosed with amnesia, and I’m just trying to get everything back in order.”
She wondered if she was flapping her mouth a little to much again. Most people don’t enter into conversation that way. This was another good example of why she needed to learn better social skills so she wouldn’t blab her entire life story, or what little she had, to the first person she felt comfortable around. She felt so dumb. She mentally gave herself a little smack.

Roxas smiled in the company of Namine. A inner peace seemed to wash over him, and all the conflict that boiled within seemed to slink away into the sky. The distance between them at the moment was great, and he really did wish to be closer, though with their situation, he figured he would avoid losing this. Listening to her speak he felt that calm slowly fading, replaced by disappointment. Didn't people know the signs that said they just wanted to be left alone? Roxas had been talked to, but he usually saw it as pity, and pity was never good in his book.
Seriously, it was enough just attending a public school where people were judging, another thing would to have them walk up and once he even had a girl pretend to be his girlfriend. Sitting alone didn't mean having a big red x on his face begging for someone to shoot him; rather it was a sure sign that the company he didn't have meant no one really cared enough, or he just didn't want to bother with the fakes. Roxas seemed to recall a group of friends that pretended to be his friends, but in the end, only one seemed to stand out, who cared the little bit.
I must've lost touch with him, he thought, after all, isn't it true that friends grow distant as the years stretch onwards?
"I know how you feel," Roxas said looking up at the clouds, "talking to most kids doesn't give me the solace that your voice does. You attend school half your life, and in that time you just want to get through it. The teachers that pick on you, they just add to all the obstacles you have to overcome. If you don't speak in class, people might presume you are mute, or that you just have a chip on your shoulder that is quite big and dominating. When you do speak, the class will let out a gasp of shock, the teacher will probably raise an eyebrow, and from there the attention grows. It is pretty much a no win situation, and if company like yours can pull me through that mundane school life, all the better."
Roxas smiled and noticed how much attention was given to him. Most girls on the school yard tended to gossip or hang around the popular kid table. I'd never be popular, he thought, I wouldn't fit in, more like stick out like a needle in a haystack.
"Wait...you were diagnosed with amnesia? What a coincidence, I happen to just have the same ailment, er, same problem that has been persisting in me for some time. I keep hearing that my memory will come back of its own according, so no need to apologize Namine, for if you are an oddball, that makes two of us."
Roxas said motioning with his hand as he indicated himself. Scooting closer to her he felt a bond that seemed inseparable at that moment. No one knew him, and at that moment, Namine was channeling his very thoughts. They were on the same wave length, could this be serendipity? If that were the case, taking the path through the park was the best decision he ever made in his life.
"When did your amnesia begin?" Roxas inquired. Even though that was a question he too asked nightly. "I just feel like a part of my life was taken away, rather abruptly. Whether I was living the good life, ahd a girlfriend, it is all too good to just think about. Isn't that what dreams are, tempting promises that just linger out of your reach? If that is the case, I don't know why I wake up." Roxas sighed and then noticed how close he was sitting to her.

Listening intently to the way Roxas spoke, Namine was surprised that he could relate so much to how she felt about other people and school. She felt like someone finally had the same views as her. No one ever talked this way with her. All their conversations lacked anything interesting. They seemed like dull shells who never had anything real on their minds. Roxas was different or, at least, seemed different. He had a mind, and she like how he shared his thoughts out loud with her. It amazed her how much she said to him and how much he spoke back. He was different then any other guy she’d ever met. Plus, he looked at her like she was actually there. She wasn’t just an obstacle to dodge while trying to get to class in the school hallways.
Namine’s eyes perked up when Roxas mentioned his amnesia. That was the last thing she was expecting to hear. He was pretty much in the same situation as her. It was the craziest coincidence in the world to her. It was something that usually only happened in movies. The part in movies where people go It’s so obvious what’s going to happen next.
“I was diagnosed about seven months ago,” she told.
Scattering through her thoughts, she tried to find a way to explain what happened to her. Everything seemed sort of hazy already. She often tried to make up a fake past for herself, and it was almost getting hard to sort things out. She thought pretending might help her remember. So far, she had an imaginary brother and a mom. Not for a second could she believe she really did at this point though. If those sort of people existed in her life, they would’ve found her by now. She sometimes wondered if her family thought she’d died. Maybe it was possible that she was an often to begin with?
“Worst part about having amnesia is that I don’t have a family to tell me what’s what,” Namine spoke after listening intently to Roxas. “That’s probably part of the reason I feel so lonely.”
She wasn’t sure what else to add to that. It was then that she noticed the short distance between them on the bench too. She tried a best to keep herself from blushing as she smiled up at him gently. He seemed like something from a dream. He was so perfect. She was beginning to wonder if he was really even here.
(Sorry that it's a little short. >.<)

((Don't worry, mine's isn't any better, lol))
Roxas nodded his head as he listened to Namine. So, she was diagnosed 7 months ago, it almost sounded the same as his very own case of amnesia. "Wow, it would suck if we're twins, because we share a similar date of losing our memory. Some people discount memory as having any significance in their life. I tend to disagree, as having experience with no memory. If you made mistakes in your life, and decided one day to have a clean slate, start from the beginning, all the good during your bad will be longed for, though you don't even know it.
I long for my memory, crave it, you know those desserts that you get once in a few months? That is the memory we crave, a delicate layer of frosting just wanted to be licked. I want my memory, and I'm stuck in the dark, clothed in these very clothes that no one can tell me as to their whereabouts."
Roxas looked at Namine, feeling like this was some kind of movie that the two of them could put on rewind after passing, freezing it to a picture frame moment.
"Yeah, I wish I knew my family as well. Some part of me though figures that ever since I woke up, my parents weren't trying too hard to find me. I mean, where are the posters, you know that pretty much ask, 'have you seen my boy?' The poles are scarce, unless you count the posters that are asking for stray pets. Life just seems like it is bleak, that all that goodness that should be happening for us, is lost on others who probably let their pets go in the first place."
Roxas let his eyes float over to her and scooted over to her again, feeling safety as his hip bumped into hers. Laughing nervously he placed his hand behind his head, not really sure if he should be too corny and stretch, or at that thought, make a lazy attempt at just letting her know that he cared, that she shouldn't be alone anymore.
"Namine, what are you drawing?" Roxas asked then, noticing that the sketchpad wasn't too far from her. It must be something important. Though if this ruined any mood that they were sharing, he'd make sure to keep his mouth shut.

(I have to get offline really soon so I have to make this one shorter. I’m really sorry. I’ll be sure to make then extra long tomarrow to make up for it.)
Everything Roxas said amazed her. It was like he his thoughts were similar. She felt like they were thinking a like about the subject. No one bothered putting up posters or doing anything to find her either. It was like she was lost in a different country. No one knew her.
“It’s been so long…” Namine sighed. “I don’t think anyone’s looking for me anymore. I’ve completely lost hope.”
Namine stopped herself from talking. She didn’t want to sound too depressing. That would totally ruin it for herself. No one wanted to be around an un-happy person who could bring down their mood as well. That just made it no fun for anyone. People like that were no fun. She snapped herself out of it and forced a smile on her face to make sure she didn’t have any depressing feeling showing though at all. Sadly, her smile was weak and fake.
She was almost relieved when Roxas asked her what she was drawing, but then again, a bit not happy when she remembered how much he looked like the person on her paper. Namine hesitated, but finally decided to show him. She reached over and picked up her sketch pad, slowly opening it to the page that she was working on before Roxas showed up. Although it was only about twenty or thirty minutes ago, that time seemed like forever ago. When she flipped it too the page, she set it on his lap so he could take a look.
“I know it just looks like scribbles,” Namine laughed. “But when I get really into it, I think I loose some of my talent.”
Namine then pointed to the blonde figure in the picture.
“I think that one sort of looks a lot like you. Doesn’t it?”
